Photographer since 2008
Photography has always been a passion of mine since high school. I started my photography business as a second job in 2008 after completing a photography course at North West School of Design in Klerksdorp.
I started by doing small photoshoots for free and for cheaper than the usual photographer would. I did my very first wedding in 2009. By 2011 I was working 3 jobs and by 2015 I was blessed to be able to go into photography fulltime and never looked back. I specialize in Wedding, Portrait, Lifestyle and Fashion Photography. I have worked with SA celebs such as Leandie Du Randt, Malinda Bam, Bouwer Bosch, Diaan Lawrenson, Quinn Brown, Hildegard Whites, Rolanda Marais, Rinel Day and more. My work has been featured in SARIE Magazine and I did my very first cover for Kuier Magazine in 2020. I have been working in and around South Africa and also had the privilege to shoot in Dubai. When you book with Donovan Roets Photography, we don’t just take pictures, we make it an experience. In a world full of selfies, my mission is to capture that unposed, unscripted moments. It is my pleasure to be able get someone to relax in front of the camera with some wit and sometimes a joke to lighten the mood and if all else fails, I just serve champaign….
